Lawrence Gitonga Kaburu
Lawrence is Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is also Chairman of NOVCOM group of companies and an accomplished technology & management professional with over 30 years of experience in the Corporate and Public sector. Lawrence is an entrepreneur in ICT, Financial, and hospitality businesses where he provides leadership and governance that has resulted in exemplary corporate achievement.
Lawrence previously worked as founder and Chief Executive Officer of Novel Technologies (E.A) Ltd for 20 years and as Computer Systems Manager at Lonrho Africa Plc for 12 years. Lawrence holds an MBA in Strategic Management (University of Sunderland, UK), a Bachelor of Information Technology, (Scranton University, USA), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Edexcel UK), and a Diploma in Systems Analysis and Design, (The Chartered Institute of IT, UK), Certificate in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies (Harvard University) among other achievements.
Margaret Gitonga
An accredited consultant & business advisor with Goldman Sachs as well as founder/lead consultant for African Women in Business Advisors Network (AWIBA-Network). Margaret serves as a board member of LOLC Kenya Micro Finance Bank, a Board Member of Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA), a Council Member of Eldoret University, and a Council Member of Zetech University. She is also the vice chair of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurship SACCO and serves as marketing and funding committee chair. In addition, she is a founding partner and director at Novel Technologies (E.A.), a reputable ICT service provider in East Africa.
Previously, she worked for over 20 years in the banking and financial sector at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) as the head of key strategic business units covering six countries: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi and South Sudan. Later assignments included acting as the Business Head of Diaspora & Affluent Banking and occasionally as the acting Director of Retail. Margaret is a holder of an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Business (Strathmore University) BA in Commerce 1st Class Honors (University of Nairobi).
Edwin Kathurima
A finance analyst with five years of experience in the corporate sector with an acquired proficiency & keen insight into financial systems specializing in a variety of investment models such as money markets instruments, equities, derivatives stock options, & futures.
Edwin is an accomplished finance professional with a Master’s in Finance (University of Lancaster), BA in Finance & Accounting (Portsmouth University), and ACCA finalist with a bias in audit and taxation.
